Chiropratic In Lakewood

Work injuries can make even everyday tasks difficult to accomplish. They can hurt your ability to work, and cause emotional and physical pain. Prescribed medications can help to alleviate the pain, but it doesn’t address the root of the symptoms. Work injury chiropractic services in Puyallup from Dr Lance Lorfeld  can help you with pain relief. Find lasting recovery.

At our chiropractic clinic, treatments are tailored specifically for you. That’s because treating the source of the injury can be more complex than simply treating the symptoms. By taking the time to treat the root of your pain, we can help you find lasting relief. Patients are often able to reduce, or even stop the use of pain relieving drugs that were a necessity before chiropractic care. Some of the work related injuries we treat include:

Specialized care is what we do. We always put the patient first, and our clinic effectively tailors treatments for the individual. With the help of a work injury chiropractor our Puyallup patients can recover their full range of motion, reduce inflammation, and stop pain.

At Lakewood Chiropractic Center you will receive excellent Chiropractic care through the use of time proven Chiropractic techniques and technology. Here’s an example: When we lose our health, what do we notice first? How we feel, right? We tend to notice the normal symptoms of our body. Many times, these symptoms show up far from the cause.
Your spine is the foundation of your body, and all of the organs, muscles and connective tissue are built around it. Therefore, it’s easy to understand the critical nature of undergoing a thorough Neurostructural Examination to determine the presence (or lack thereof) of a Structural Shift. If Structural Shifts are detected, Dr. Lorfeld creates a personalized plan to correct these abnormalities so that you can be at your best.

Spine in The Body Education

The body is maintained and regulated by the nervous system. The brain is the master controller of the entire body and communicates to every part of the body through the nervous system. When your spine shifts, these secondary conditions may result…

Arm Pain
Degenerated Joints
Disc Herniations
Head Aches
Lower Back Pain
Neck Pain
Pinched Nerves
Muscular Imbalance
Spinal Decay
Upper Back Pain

Let me give you an example of what we do here at Lakewood Chiropractic. We are in the process of doing research using specific care with patients that have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder “PTSD”. What does that have to do with Chiropractic? When one is stressed, the body’s natural response is to either fight or flight. Increased heart rate and heightened awareness causes the body to be primed for action. People with PTSD are stuck in that response and are unable to relax. This leads to sickness and other chronic conditions due to an imbalance of the nervous system. When we evaluate your nervous system using a device that measures your health and adaptability, we can see if your autonomic nervous system (automatic operating system) is working correctly or not. Science has proven that Chiropractic had a positive effect on the automatic operation system and depending where and what you adjust, will cause different results. This is why we are so precise and get results. If you are interested in living at your optimum health, we will help you. Dr. Lance Lorfeld and the staff at Lakewood Chiropractic Center have a genuine concern for your well-being and health!

What is a Structural Shift?

If your car was out of alignment you will eventually see abnormal wear and tear on the tires, problems with steering, and even more issues down the road. If all you did was change the tires and ignored the underlying structural problems, the problem would continue to break down until you needed a major overhaul.
In a similar way, Structural Abnormalities, or spine misalignments can lead to a variety of secondary conditions like muscle spasms, degenerative changes, disc problems, pain and pinched nerves.
For example: When your head moves forward from it’s normal position, it causes the weight of the head to increase 10 pounds for every inch off of normal. 1 inch forward makes the head weigh 20 pounds and 2 inches forward makes it weigh 30 pounds. This will cause pain and discomfort as well as interference to your nervous system which can result in arm numbness, tingling and loss of function. You may develop head aches or even migraines. At Lakewood Chiropractic Center we look for the cause of the problem and remove the cause, which is completely different from treating the symptom.

We understand our office is not for everyone. If we determine our office is not the right fit for you, then we will recommend a proper specialist to follow up with. Once again, there is no charge for our consultation and you will never be pressured to start a program of care.
